Requirements

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidays.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all team members.
  • An enthusiastic, positive demeanor and desire to provide exceptional guest service.
  • You have proven experience in Housekeeping or Environment Services as a Cleaner, Janitor, Custodian, Housekeeper or Environmental Services Tech.
  • Ability to work with little supervision, maintain a high-level of performance and follow standard operating procedures.
  • Pass a pre-employment background investigation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide the highest quality of service to the guest at all times and anticipate and exceed guest expectations.
  • Pick up and sign for keys and radio following proper key control procedure.
  • Respond to pages and radio calls immediately.
  • Daily “rounds” to include walk around of the outdoor public paths to ensure they are clean and free of trash, spills, bird drops, spider webs, etc and cleaning of path lights.
  • Follow proper use of approved chemicals and accurately label chemical containers. Always use gloves and goggles when handling chemicals.
  • Spot Clean public areas as necessary, to include restrooms, floors, elevators, lobbies, hallways, service areas, stairwells, terraces/thresholds, Spa, pool, exercise room, and pre-function space and restock supplies. Clean elevator tracks, walls and doors. Use wet floor signs as required.
  • Spot Clean and polish glass, windows, mirrors, ice machines, house telephones, public telephones and wall fixtures daily. All outside windows should be clear of bird drops.
  • Buff, wax and polish floors. Vacuum, shampoo and remove gum spots from carpets and tile as required.
  • Sweep and mop stairwells as needed and ensure spills are removed promptly.
  • Remove all litter from public space, dust thoroughly.
  • Stock supply cart.
  • Ensure security and confidentiality of all guest and hotel information and material.
  • Practice energy conservation at all times.
  • Notify manager of maintenance issues.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area in accordance with hotel standards. Complete daily/weekly cleaning schedule
  • Attend work on time as scheduled and adhere to attendance policy.
  • Report unsafe conditions and suspicious activity to Management.
  • Wear uniform, including nametag at all times in accordance with the Standards of Appearance.
  • Communicate properly and effectively with the guests, team members, and managers.
  • Promote teamwork and team member engagement.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel property, hotel staff, hotel services, hotel service hours of operation, and hotel surroundings (i.e. Spa, Restaurant, Banquets).
  • Adhere to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the company. This includes, but is not limited to those contained in the Team Member Handbook and the Procedures Manual. Must have a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures
