About The Position

The Janitor is responsible for cleaning buildings, removing debris, and keeping areas neat and tidy. This role involves vacuuming and buffing floors, shampooing carpets, emptying trash receptacles, and replacing the lining of trash cans. The Janitor will perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities, carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects, and notify management of any deficiencies or needs for repairs. They will also make adjustments and minor repairs, stock and maintain supply rooms, and cooperate with the rest of the staff. A commitment to upholding the highest safety and sanitation standards is essential, along with performing other assigned duties and tasks.

Requirements

  • Must be able to do physical work and operate power equipment normally found in janitorial operations

Responsibilities

  • Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc)
  • Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
  • Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
  • Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs
  • Stock and maintain supply rooms
