Headquartered in Baton Rouge, LA, Turner Industries has over 20,000 employees across the United States. The company is seeking individuals for a Janitorial position in Longview, TX. Janitors are responsible for maintaining the premises and occasionally assisting skilled workers. This is a non-exempt role that reports to the Foreman, with assigned duties checked frequently.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent
• General knowledge of cleaning
• Must pass a post-offer drug/alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and sign acceptance of the Turner Industries Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy.
• Comply with company and client job site safety requirements.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Maintain premises and ensure rest and working areas of offices, industrial buildings, and outer grounds are in clean and orderly condition.
• Perform dusting of furniture, walls, fixtures, and equipment.
• Sweep, scrub, mop, wax, and buff floors.
• Polish furniture, fixtures, and trimmings.
• Use janitorial supplies.
• Clean lavatories, showers, and restrooms.
• Perform a variety of non-mechanical tasks.
• Assist skilled workers in performing their assigned duties.
• Perform additional assignments as directed by a supervisor.
