About The Position

Skills Inc. is seeking an experienced part-time Janitor to join their team. The Janitor will be responsible for keeping the premises of the office buildings and other areas of the plant in clean and orderly condition. Skills Inc. is one of Washington State’s largest aerospace suppliers and a non-profit with a social mission to train, employ and serve persons with disabilities and their community.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, communicate and/or follow written and verbal instructions in English.
Ability to communicate in English through voice, or American Sign Language or adaptive technology.
High school education and one (1) year relevant experience and / or training in janitorial.
Experience in safe handling / cleaning of blood borne pathogens

Responsibilities

Cleans and maintains the offices, shop, restrooms and lunch areas throughout the facilities.
Sweeps, mops, vacuums polish and maintains floors.
Washes walls, windows, door panels, and sills on an as needed basis.
Empties wastebaskets, garbage containers, and recycling throughout the plant facility.
Follows procedures for adding material to wastewater treatment system.
Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
Replenishes bathroom supplies and cleans and thoroughly sanitizes bathrooms and eating areas.
Dumping smoking receptacles.
Keeping the outside of the building and parking lot clean.
Maintain and reporting inventory of cleaning supplies
