About The Position
American Airlines is seeking a Janitor to perform general cleaning and disinfecting of offices, sweeping, mopping, dusting, emptying trash cans, and cleaning jet bridges, stairways, and gate areas. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to follow instructions.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift, squat, stoop, push, stand, and bend throughout the course of a shift.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and/or hold 10-20 pounds or more with or without accommodations.
- High School Diploma or equivalent may be required in some locations.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have a reliable telephone number for contact.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to pass a background check for airport SIDA badging.
- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test as required (DOT or Non DOT) and submit to random testing requirements.
