About The Position

SSC Services for Education is hiring a full-time Janitor at Marana USD in Tucson, Arizona. The role helps maintain clean, orderly, safe, and distraction-free learning environments. The Janitor performs routine and heavy cleaning, including floor care, carpet shampooing, cleaning walls and glass, and removing rubbish. The listed schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.; additional schedule details are provided during the interview. The posting notes that openings at other locations within the school district may be available and that both full- and part-time scheduling options may be offered to meet scheduling needs.

The role requires completing assigned cleaning tasks using designated materials and equipment, following approved procedures and applicable guidelines, and working professionally with customers, coworkers, and others. Prior janitorial experience is preferred. The fixed pay rate is $15.15 per hour. SSC describes training and growth opportunities, same-day pay, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash according to approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dust and damp-mop floors according to approved procedures.
• Move equipment and furniture to clean properly, then return furniture to its correct placement.
• Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment, sanitize surfaces, and follow the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Identify areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete the work.
• Complete all tasks assigned by the supervisor.
• Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors, and shampoo carpets.
• Contribute to the team and act professionally with customers, coworkers, and others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
