About The Position

Pridgeon and Clay is seeking a Janitor to effectively and efficiently keep the plant, office, and grounds clean and presentable. The role involves maintaining these areas in an exemplary manner according to company quality policies. The company is a large, independent manufacturer and supplier of automotive stamped and fine-blanked components, founded in 1948, and committed to diversity, quality products, and being a great corporate citizen.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Three months of industrial janitorial experience
• Experience using high speed burnishing and walk behind floor scrubbers
• P&C hilo license (or ability to pass tests to obtain one)
• An excellent work record, including attendance

Responsibilities

• Clean office floors, windows, and walls, including dusting, buffing, stripping, and waxing.
• Clean and maintain restrooms, ensuring ample supply of cleaning products.
• Change mop buckets, snakes, and soaker pads as needed.
• Empty trash and recycle paper receptacles and baskets, ensuring recycled paper baskets display proper directions.
• Bail stretch wrap as needed.
• Clean sidewalks, wash bays, and truck wells using various equipment.
• Perform cleaning in confined spaces (requires permit).
• Operate a hilo to dump accumulated cardboard and garbage throughout the plant.
• Effectively communicate with co-workers and management.
• Provide necessary, accurate, and timely feedback.
• Consistently exhibit appropriate attendance habits and work necessary hours.
• Organize and maintain efficiency of personal work area.
• Consistently adhere to and support company policies and procedures, including ISO, IATF 16949, and safety regulations.
• Accept instructions and duties in a positive manner.
• Treat all co-workers with dignity and respect.
• Exhibit attributes of a positive role model.
• Assist in maintaining company values daily.
