About The Position
We are looking for self-motivated and safety-conscious candidates who would like to join our production/maintenance team. New employees can potentially earn $65K in total compensation when working at Canam Steel Corp for a 50-hour work week. This includes the base rate, overtime and production bonuses. Previous janitorial experience preferred.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least 6 months experience working in a heavy manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers.
- Provide outstanding customer service to internal customers and uphold CSC's values
Nice To Haves
- Previous janitorial experience preferred.
- Forklift experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service by maintaining the cleanliness of the site.
- Clean up scrap metal and other materials from around the production lines; collect and properly dispose of other waste materials resulting from steel fabrication process.
- Assist with maintaining a clean warehouse and shipping yard, including sweeping and trash removal.
- Occasionally use overhead crane to move materials on production floor.
- Perform all job duties to meet all quality standards and in a safe manner according to CSC's safety program.
- Perform other custodial duties as required by supervisor.
