About The Position

Regal Cinemas is seeking a Janitor to maintain the cleanliness and security of the theater. This role involves cleaning auditoriums, lobby, hallways, and restrooms, as well as managing supplies, equipment, and found items. The Janitor is also responsible for building security, including alarm systems, and must be knowledgeable of safety and emergency procedures. Training on topics such as sexual harassment and discrimination will be provided.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old or older.

• Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Occasionally required to lift up to 60 pounds.

• Prior janitorial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean all auditoriums prior to opening for business.
• Ensure all lobby and hallway areas are properly cleaned prior to opening for business.
• Ensure all restrooms are clean and stocked prior to opening for business.
• Ensure the janitorial closet area is clean, organized and stocked with needed supplies.
• Use equipment such as vacuums and compactor.
• Report any facility damage found to the General Manager.
• Responsible for securing and reporting any found items to management.
• Maintain building security in keeping doors secured and alarm set and disabled as required.
• Ensure all non-public areas are secure including arming, disarming and general operation of the alarm system.
• Abide by all federal and state laws with regards to breaks and/or meal periods.
• Have knowledge of all safety and emergency procedures.
• Read and understand training materials that will cover subjects such as sexual harassment and discrimination.
