About The Position

The Janitor is responsible for cleaning, organizing, and ensuring the facility is always sanitary. This role assists with the day-to-day cleaning of the organization, breakrooms, and locker rooms. A janitor must be able to perform duties with little supervision.

Requirements

High School Diploma required
Blood-borne Pathogens training
Immunization shots
Chemical Spill procedures training
Excellent verbal/written communication skills
Ability to work as a member of a team
Time management skills

Confidentiality with all materials

Responsibilities

Check and refill soap and paper towel dispensers.
Check toilet paper supply in every restroom.
Empty all waste baskets and ash trays and place trash in the dumpster.
Wipe down door handles throughout the plant.
Disinfect telephone receivers.
Sweep and mop lunchrooms and locker rooms.
Clean and wipe tables, counters, refrigerator, and microwave in the lunchroom.
Clean stools and sinks, and disinfect showers.
Pick up trash around the dumpster area outside.
Sweep and mop front & back stairways.
Clean Dry Storage.
Remove empty boxes.
Ensure the Mezzanine is swept and mopped regularly.
Wash windows in the lunchroom and outside doors.
Empty garbage in the shop.
Wash garbage carts and other garbage containers with soap and water.
Wash walls in the Lunch Room & Locker Room when needed.
Pick up trash in the production room during slow times and assist maintenance.
Report low supplies to the person in charge of ordering.
Order supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and trash bags.
Assign lockers to new employees and clean out lockers as needed.
Manage uniform orders.
Clean and sanitize areas where blood is involved after receiving required training.
