About The Position

We are currently searching for a Janitor to be based out of Kokomo, IN. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this person will be responsible for general cleaning and maintaining all areas in good condition.

Requirements

• High school degree or GED equivalent
• 1-3 years of Janitorial experience
• Willingness to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Must be able to do physical work and operate power equipment normally found in janitorial operations
• Flexibility of shift schedule including overtime and weekends
• Must possess an outgoing positive attitude, be a team player, and have strong work ethic

• Report and keep inventory of consumable supplies utilized for the position
• Have obtained full knowledge, timing, and understanding of the facility to complete necessary tasks efficiently
• Accurately report inventory levels of consumable items used in operation of this position

Responsibilities

• Adherence to Atkore Safety / Life Saving Rules is paramount
• Demonstrate core values
• Clean all areas of the office, break room, locker room, bathrooms, and production areas
• Maintain building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming
• Clean and supply restrooms
• Removing waste and empty trash
• Organize janitorial storage areas and keep supplies stocked
• Maintain a cleaning chart indicating areas that were cleaned
• Notify supervisors about unsafe conditions or the need for repairs or maintenance
• All duties as instructed by supervision
