The Janitor position assists skilled maintenance and construction workers in performing their assigned duties. Non-exempt role; Reports to the Foreman; Assigned duties according to specific procedures / work is checked frequently.

Requirements

High school or equivalent
General knowledge of cleaning
Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the company Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
Comply with company and client job site safety requirements
Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Responsibilities

Maintains premises; ensures rest and working areas of offices, industrial buildings and outer grounds are in clean and orderly condition; performs a combination of dusting furniture, walls, fixtures, and equipment; sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, and buffering floors; polishing furniture, fixtures, and trimmings; using janitorial supplies; cleaning lavatories, showers, and rest rooms; performs a variety of non-mechanical tasks; spends time on the job or may be transferred from task to task as needed; perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
