About The Position

Affinity Management Services is seeking dedicated individuals to join their team as Janitorial Staff. The Janitorial Staff is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of the condominium property’s common areas and exterior grounds. This role includes daily cleaning duties, proper handling and disposal of trash and recycling, and ensuring all areas meet community standards and sanitation regulations. The position requires hands-on work and attention to detail to help provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents and guests.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; additional training or certifications in janitorial services, or facility maintenance preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in janitorial and/or groundskeeping work, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact professionally with residents, vendors, and management.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines and environmental regulations.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, lift up to 50 lbs., and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of common areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, pool deck, gym, clubhouse, and other shared spaces.
  • Maintain cleanliness of exterior areas and assist with basic groundskeeping duties as assigned.
  • Handle proper removal of trash, recycling, and bulk waste according to community schedules and local ordinances.
  • Keep trash rooms, dumpsters, and compactors clean and orderly to prevent odor, pest, and sanitation issues.
  • Follow established cleaning procedures and safety standards when using supplies and equipment.
  • Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the Chief Engineer or Property Manager.
  • Assist with seasonal clean-up, storm preparation, and post-storm cleanup when required.
  • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Support special cleaning projects or event setup/cleanup as needed.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with residents, vendors, and staff.
  • Comply with all HOA/COA rules, safety policies, and company procedures.
