About The Position

The theatre janitor supervisor is a team member classified based on individual theatre needs, and/or employee availability, as either variable hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular or a full-time hourly employee solely employed by Regal and on Regal’s payroll and who is responsible for ensuring that all auditoriums, lobby and hallway areas, and bathrooms are cleaned prior to the opening for business. The janitor supervisor also acts as key point of contact with the General Manager to ensure that standards are delivered by all janitorial team members. Represent and act as a representative of Regal in a way that is consistent with our mission statement and policies. Must be 18 years old or older. This is a key holder position.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years old or older.
  • Interface effectively with co-workers, and exhibit sensitivity to the feelings of others.
  • Effectively communicate in both oral and written form with management staff.

  • Identify problems, gather relevant data, and note possible causes of problems.

Responsibilities

  • Regular and Consistent Attendance
  • Cleaning all auditoriums prior to opening for business
  • Ensuring all lobby and hallway areas are properly cleaned prior to opening for business
  • Ensuring all restrooms are clean and stocked prior to opening for business
  • Ensuring the janitorial closet area is clean, organized and stocked with needed supplies
  • Reporting any facility damage found to the General Manager
  • Responsible for securing and reporting any found items to management.
  • Maintain building security in keeping doors secured and alarm set and disabled as required (if applicable).
  • Ensure all non-public areas are secure including arming, disarming and general operation of the alarm system.
  • Regularly meet with General Manager or designated members of management to walk the facility, review performance of janitorial staff and implement strategies to ensure standards are being met.
  • Direct, as needed, the duties of other members of the janitorial staff and ensure that they are completing tasks and delivering standards.
  • Effectively manage inventory of paper products, cleaning chemicals and other disposables to control costs.
  • Abide by all federal and state laws with regards to breaks and/or meal periods.
  • Have knowledge of all safety and emergency procedures.
  • Required to read and understand training materials that will cover subjects such as sexual harassment and discrimination.
