About The Position

The Sanitation Worker is responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and sanitary working environment within our industrial facility. This role is crucial for meeting health and safety standards, ensuring product quality, and minimizing contamination risks. The Sanitation Worker performs specialized cleaning tasks and follows strict sanitation protocols to maintain a hygienic and safe workplace.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as an industrial sanitation worker or cleaner, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of sanitation protocols, cleaning agents, and industry-specific cleanliness standards.
  • Understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including nights and weekends, depending on the facility's operational needs.
  • Dependability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to strictly adhere to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Follow rigorous sanitization and disinfection protocols to clean and sanitize common spaces, and mechanical equipment to prevent the spread of contaminants and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Work collaboratively with maintenance teams to schedule cleaning of equipment to not disrupt production and to report any major repairs needed while performing designated cleaning duties in designated areas.
  • Perform sanitation tasks that are essential for meeting industry-specific regulatory standards, including those related to food processing, pharmaceuticals, or other specialized manufacturing.
  • Properly manage waste disposal in compliance with company guidelines, industry regulations, and environmental standards. Sort and dispose of waste materials, including hazardous materials, recyclables, and non-hazardous waste, following established procedures.
  • Maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies, sanitizing agents, and personal protective equipment (PPE). Ensure that cleaning supplies are stored and handled safely and according to regulations.
  • Adhere to environmental regulations related to sanitation and waste disposal to minimize the facility's environmental impact.
  • Prioritize and enforce safety protocols, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety guidelines.
  • Clean and sanitize office spaces, and restock restrooms with essential toiletries and hand soaps.
