Janitor Lead
About The Position
In addition to work duties of a Janitor, the Lead Janitor will be responsible for planning, assigning, monitoring, reviewing and supervising the work of janitorial staff. This role involves instructing, advising and demonstrating work methods, practices and procedures for completing job assignments and assisting in the training of new and current staff. The Lead Janitor ensures that the janitorial team starts the workday with the necessary supplies, equipment, and tools, and that the appearance of the site’s grounds meets the standards set by the maintenance supervisor and department.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience preferred.
- Ability to read, speak and write in English.
- Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work of janitorial staff
- Ability to effectively orient and train new employees
- General knowledge of safety precautions and procedures of all buildings/facilities
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (green card holder) or other status as a U.S. Person).
