About The Position

The Janitor II is responsible for providing comprehensive janitorial and facility maintenance support at our Fullerton location. This position performs year-round janitorial, maintenance, and general labor duties both inside and outside the facility. The role is responsible for helping maintain interior offices, warehouse areas, equipment, and exterior grounds to provide employees and visitors with a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming work environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred; related janitorial, maintenance, warehouse, or general labor experience and/or training is preferred.
Forklift certification required.
Ability to safely operate industrial cleaning equipment, forklifts, and other equipment associated with the position.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to follow safety instructions, equipment directions, chemical labels, and workplace procedures.
Ability to read and follow cleaning chemical, maintenance equipment, and safety instructions accurately.
Ability to understand and carry out written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, ratios, and percentages.
Ability to complete assigned duties accurately and within established timeframes.
Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and workplace safety.
Demonstrated history of reliable attendance and safe work practices.
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, customers, and other employees.

Responsibilities

Perform general janitorial duties throughout the facility, including emptying trash, sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and maintaining common areas.
Clean and disinfect shared surfaces, including door handles, light switches, break room tables, microwaves, refrigerators, dispensers, and restroom fixtures.
Clean windows, mirrors, countertops, furniture, and other surfaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies.
Restock restroom and lunchroom supplies, including hand soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
Gather and properly dispose of waste materials from facility areas, offices, and cubicles.
Clean facility floors using an industrial ride-on scrubber.
Sweep exterior yard areas using an industrial ride-on sweeper.
Operate a forklift to move and stack pallets as needed.
Refill propane tanks for forklifts as required.
Perform basic repairs, minor dock door repairs, and dock leveler cleaning and maintenance under the direction of the Facility Manager.
Safely operate industrial janitorial and maintenance equipment and use cleaning chemicals in accordance with established procedures, safety requirements, and required PPE.
Maintain janitorial carts, equipment, and cleaning supplies in clean and proper working conditions.
Maintain utility and storage rooms in a clean, neat, and organized condition.
Monitor inventory and report supply shortages to the supervisor for timely replenishment.
Maintain exterior facility areas through tasks such as trash pickup, sweeping, and raking.
Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
