About The Position

The Janitorial Floor Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily floor care and janitorial operations to ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained facility. This role supervises floor technicians and janitorial staff, ensures quality standards are met, and coordinates schedules, supplies, and special floor projects.

Requirements

Three years of experience in the custodial field with two years of supervisory experience required.
Must wear company issued uniforms.
Must be able to pass background check and drug screening.
Knowledge of floor care equipment and cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

To supervise and support floor technicians and janitorial staff during assigned shifts.
To train staff on equipment use, chemical handling, and safety procedures
To ensure proper floor care procedures are followed (stripping, waxing, buffing, scrubbing, and carpet care).
To schedule janitorial employees with focus on controlling payroll costs and adequate coverage of complicit operation for proper customer service and quality.
To supervise and motivate janitorial employees to reach production guidelines and to be capable of producing as well.
To assign daily tasks and adjust staffing as needed.
To address performance issues, provide coaching, and report concerns to management
To conduct routine inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
To prepare personnel and payroll records in a timely manner.
To complete accurately other paperwork required in the day-to-day operation of the contract.
To inventory and request supplies ensuring that reorders are placed before stock is depleted.
To inspect contract equipment on a regular schedule and maintain an equipment inspection log.
To act as a positive role model for employees and customers in all aspects of professional performance.
To address all customer complaints promptly and satisfactorily.
To notify Project Manager of all customer complaints and other issues that may arise at the worksite.
To follow all company policies, safety procedures, OSHA standards, and site-specific requirements to ensure full compliance.
To ensure the daily safety meeting is conducted and documented.
To hold an employees' meeting monthly and document meeting discussions. Meetings must include safety.
To possess and maintain a valid driver's license and to be insurable by the Company's automotive insurance carrier. Must obey all traffic/safety laws.
To perform all duties as required per contract/Goodwill management.
To perform additional duties as assigned.
