Floor Supervisor SUMMARY Responsible for the direct supervision of dealers in an assigned area. Responsible for training and coaching employees. Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all policies and procedures and all internal and external regulations. Assures excellent guest service to all patrons by communicating in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Ensures that all policies and procedures and all Nevada Gaming Control Board Regulations are followed. Ensures excellent guest service levels are maintained. Ensure that all fills and credits are accurate and timely. Maintains bank rolls on all games. Ensures that customer database is maintained and information is accurate. Trains new dealers. Identifies and resolves guest and employee concerns. Participates in departmental brainstorming meetings. Monitors dealer performance and make corrections when necessary. Other duties as assigned. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Trains, supervises, motivates and evaluates department staff. Communicates with Supervisors, Managers, and Directors on Departmental operations. Designated Floor Supervisors may be called upon to perform in the Casino Shift Manager position, as needed, at the Director of the Departments discretion. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent. Ability to learn new software applications (CMS casino system, IGT Slot system, LMS hotel system). Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills. Position requires attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. This is normally acquired through a combination of a high school diploma or equivalent and five to seven years of progressive casino related experience. Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public. Must have a working understanding of Regulation 6A. Must be 21 years of age and be able to obtain all local, state and federal regulatory permits as required by position. Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and evenings. Must be able to be mobile throughout the casino. WORKING CONDITIONS Working condition involves walking and meeting and greeting guests in all gaming areas. Work may require weekend and evening work. Must work calmly and under stress when the volume of business increases. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke and high noise levels
