About The Position

The Cleaning Squad® is looking for a dependable, hardworking Janitor / Field Technician to perform janitorial, exterior cleaning, and specialty cleaning services at commercial properties, public facilities, parks, and other customer locations. This is a hands-on, physically active field position. The work may include cleaning public restrooms and facilities, servicing city parks, collecting and hauling trash, pressure washing, window cleaning, gutter cleaning, and operating professional cleaning equipment. This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys working independently, doesn't mind getting their hands dirty, and would rather spend much of the workday moving and accomplishing visible tasks than sitting behind a desk.

Requirements

Dependable and able to report to scheduled assignments on time
Comfortable performing physical and outdoor work
Willing to handle trash and perform restroom and janitorial cleaning
Able to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions
Strong attention to detail
Professional and respectful when working around customers and members of the public
Able to safely use cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment after training
Smartphone proficiency for schedules, timekeeping, job instructions, and communication
Reliable transportation required

Nice To Haves

Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record preferred
Previous janitorial, custodial, facilities maintenance, pressure washing, window cleaning, construction, landscaping, or other hands-on field experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Perform janitorial cleaning at public, commercial, and municipal facilities
Clean and disinfect restrooms, sinks, toilets, fixtures, and other high-touch surfaces
Sweep, vacuum, mop, and clean interior and exterior areas
Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
Collect loose trash and debris from parks, sidewalks, parking areas, and surrounding grounds
Load, transport, and dispose of trash and cleaning debris as directed
Replenish restroom and facility consumables
Inspect assigned areas and report damage, vandalism, safety hazards, or unusual conditions
Maintain clean and orderly janitorial and storage areas
Pressure washing of sidewalks, patios, walkways, trash enclosures, and other exterior surfaces
Window and glass cleaning
Window screen cleaning
Gutter and elevated debris removal
High-reach dusting and cleaning
Cleaning of elevated surfaces using professional extension and high-reach equipment
Commercial vacuuming and specialty extraction work
Post-construction and project-based cleanup
