About The Position

The Janitor / Facilities Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workplace throughout office, warehouse, production, and common areas. This role supports daily operations by ensuring facilities are properly cleaned, stocked, and maintained to promote safety, efficiency, and a professional working environment. This position plays an important role in supporting Hudson Lock, LLC core values through reliability, attention to detail, responsiveness, and pride in the workplace.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Prior janitorial, custodial, or industrial cleaning experience preferred
Ability to work independently and maintain consistent standards
Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices
Dependable attendance and punctuality
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers

Nice To Haves

Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification is a plus

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, offices, conference rooms, locker rooms, and common areas
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and maintain floors throughout the facility
Remove trash, recycling, and waste materials from designated areas
Restock paper products, soap, and facility supplies as needed
Clean windows, doors, walls, and high-touch surfaces
Support production floor cleanliness and organization as assigned
Operate floor scrubbers, vacuums, and cleaning equipment safely
Report maintenance, safety, or repair concerns promptly
Assist with exterior upkeep including entrances, walkways, and seasonal needs
Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies
Support special cleaning projects or facility needs as assigned
