About The Position

This is a full-time position responsible for keeping buildings clean and orderly. Duties include heavy cleaning such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Driving is a required component of this role.

Requirements

Must have a valid drivers license and provide clean driving record
Good command of English language, both verbal and written
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Physical ability to perform all aspects of the job
1 year valid Driver's License and a clean driving record must be provided
Will be required to pass a test driving a Ford F150 Pickup truck
Minimum of 1 year of Janitorial Services
Pass a Drug & Alcohol Test
Pass a Criminal Record Check

Nice To Haves

Previous housekeeping/custodian experience is an asset
WHMIS Certification is an asset

Responsibilities

Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans
Daily cleaning of public areas, bathrooms, hallways, lobby, and storage rooms
Delivery of linen and supplies to storage rooms
Dust and damp mops floors following approved procedures
Move equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and place furniture back in correct placement
Clean assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment. Sanitize all surfaces.
Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff
Seek out areas requiring cleaning; take initiative to complete the task
Strip, scrub, buff and refinish floors, shampoo carpet
Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor
