About The Position

Direct Hire Beyond TalentEdge has began recruiting for experienced Janitor/Custodian for our client on the east side of the city. Our client is a leader in manufacturing of precision optics. This is a Direct Hire position on the east side of the city. All shifts available In this role you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and integrity of the facility. You must be willing to work alongside the maintenance department to achieve departmental goals.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED required.
• Willing to work alongside the maintenance department to achieve departmental goals.

Nice To Haves

• Technical training and prior experience working in industrial settings is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, cleans, waxes and polishes floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing and buffing machines.
• Dusts and washes walls, cleans overhead equipment, such as pipes, ceilings, light fixtures, air ducts, etc.
• Collect and dispose of trash and recycling.
• Keeps lavatories clean and supplied.
• Performs a variety of housekeeping jobs.
• Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas.
• May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
• May also sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow or perform other incidental seasonal tasks.
• Will work alongside Maintenance department.
