About The Position

CW Resources is hiring a Janitor/Custodian to clean and maintain assigned areas. Training is provided, including support in learning tasks and safe handling of cleaning chemicals. The position is located in New Britain, Connecticut, and works Monday through Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The pay rate is $16.94 per hour, paid weekly.

Employees check in with a supervisor and teammates to review the cleaning plan, gather supplies, clean assigned areas, and inspect the work before the end of the shift. The role is primarily indoors in commercial buildings and involves using cleaning equipment and supplies, following safety procedures, and wearing required personal protective equipment. Requirements

• Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull cleaning equipment and supplies weighing up to 25–30 pounds regularly.
• Ability to safely navigate stairs, ramps, or uneven flooring while carrying tools or supplies.
• Ability to perform frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and repetitive cleaning motions.
• Ability to work around cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, solvents, dust, dirt, allergens, possible biohazardous materials, and noise from cleaning machinery, using required safety protocols and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Check in with the supervisor and teammates to review the daily cleaning plan.
• Gather and transport cleaning tools and supplies as needed.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Remove trash and replace trash bags.
• Clean restrooms and replenish supplies.
• Wipe down tables, chairs, doors, and other surfaces.
• Dust furniture, shelves, and vents.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and glass doors.
• Inspect assigned areas before finishing the shift to ensure they are clean and neat.
• Return tools and supplies to the storage area.
