About The Position

Responsible for assuring the building(s) are in clean and orderly condition. Performs routine maintenance activities and services the grounds. This role also involves detailing the inside of cabs, throwing out perishable items and debris from unassigned trucks, and boxing up and taking inventory of driver's personal belongings left in unassigned trucks. The Janitor and Truck Detailer will also notify managers concerning the need for major repairs and perform other duties as assigned or directed by a Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
  • 1 or more years’ experience commercial cleaning/janitorial services.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to work in all types of weather.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); (protective safety glasses, gloves, shoes and/or work boots).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to read, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Service, clean and supply restrooms.
  • Gather and empty trash.
  • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming.
  • Clean windows, glass and mirrors.
  • Dust furniture, walls, machines, cubicles and equipment.
  • Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies either manually or by using equipment.
  • Clean driver’s lounges and shower and laundry facilities.
  • Assist in set up, arrangement and removal of decorations, tables, chairs during corporate events.
  • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floor and fixtures.
  • Request supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
  • Details the inside of cabs.
  • Throw out perishable items and debris that are in unassigned trucks.
  • Box up and take inventory of driver’s personal belongings that are left in unassigned trucks.
  • Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed by Supervisor.
