About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring all materials are transported and/or unloaded in a timely manner while using a hand pallet jack while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This position is responsible for providing operating jack on a daily basis in the designated area.

Requirements

Must have 3 months of work history with one employer listed on the application.
Requires a licensed driver (training supplied)
Must be able to change battery as needed (training supplied)
Must be able to maneuver pallet jack around belts, tables, bending, lifting, turning, pulling and twisting
Must be able to continually grip the control handle of the jack
Must be able to move about, walk entire department throughout shift
Must maintain up keep of pallet jack while in Team Members possession
Must be aware of all obstacles in all areas of travel (including other Team Members)
Must be able to lift tubs with weights up to 70lbs
Must work flexible hours including weekend, if necessary
Must work in a cold and wet environment (approx. 50 degrees)

Prefer 3 months of Operator experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture
Receive training as required
Perform various positions as required/assigned
Operate a pallet jack
Move product to necessary location
Load and unload combos and skids of product
Maneuver pallet jack around belts, tables, bending, lifting, turning, pulling and twisting
Continual gripping of the control handle of the jack
Move about, walk entire department throughout shift
Maintain up keep of pallet jack while in Team Members possession
Be aware of all obstacles in all areas of travel (including other Team Members)
Lift tubs with weights up to 70lbs
Assist in all areas as needed
Perform any other duties as assigned by Manager
