About The Position

This position is responsible for transporting and/or unloading materials in a timely manner using a hand and/or rider pallet jack while maintaining a safe work environment and following Tyson policies and procedures. The role involves moving product and materials through various departments in a fast-paced setting that requires multitasking and constant walking throughout the facility. The operator keeps production lines and the pack-out department stocked with necessary supplies and product. Work areas include Flat-Pack, debone, pack-out, shipping, receiving, coolers, and freezer. The role also includes completing safety checks and inspection forms, returning equipment and supplies to assigned areas, and submitting paperwork and forms to designated personnel. Other duties may be assigned by the Supervisor. Candidates must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. This is a second-shift role, scheduled Monday through Friday, with possible Saturdays, from 4:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. The listed pay is $23.25 per hour. This position is intended for team members currently working at this facility or complex. Team members seeking to transfer from another Tyson facility should contact their local HR Partner. Requirements

Must have been in the current position for at least 6 months for a lateral move or demotion; promotion is allowed at any time.
Must have fewer than 4 points for consideration.
Must have no written warnings in the past 6 months.
Must have no suspensions in the past 12 months.
Must be willing and able to lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds.
Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Position is limited to team members currently working at this facility or complex; team members from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner.

Responsibilities

Transport and/or unload materials in a timely manner using a hand and/or rider pallet jack.
Move product and materials through various facility departments.
Keep production lines and the pack-out department stocked with necessary supplies and product.
Operate the pallet jack in Flat-Pack, debone, pack-out, shipping, receiving, coolers, and freezer areas.
Complete safety checks and hand and/or rider pallet jack safety inspection forms.
Return equipment and supplies to assigned areas.
Submit paperwork and forms to the specified personnel.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
