About The Position

The J4 MRD Directorate Task Lead serves as a senior SOF logistics and maintenance subject matter expert, advising command leadership, managing ground and maritime readiness programs, coordinating joint logistics planning, and supporting lifecycle replacement in the CENTCOM AOR. The key personnel role requires advanced readiness systems experience and active TS/SCI clearance.

Requirements

  • Senior logistics lead planner and subject matter expert experience.
  • Experience advising command on maintenance and sustainment operations for SOF equipment and platforms.
  • Experience managing maintenance programs for ground and maritime SOF assets.
  • Experience with advanced logistics and maintenance management systems such as GCSS-A, SSAVIE, Palantir, and Power BI.
  • Experience supporting Operational Planning Teams, Strategic Planning Process (SPP), Systemic Operational Design, and Military Decision-Making Process.
  • Ability to develop and present General Officer/Flag Officer level briefing products and presentations.
  • Knowledge of Knowledge Management (KM) fundamentals and Logistics Common Operational Picture (LOGCOP) technology.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Remain fully qualified in and current with all specified and required training.
  • Ability to perform task or site lead functions and travel TDY for conferences, planning efforts, OPTs, and exercises.
  • Knowledge of Life Cycle Replacement (LCR), DOTMLPF Change Requests, Basis of Issue Plans, and unit equipment authorizations within the CENTCOM AOR.
  • Must possess an Active TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Leads SOF maintenance logistics planning, manages readiness programs, coordinates sustainment integration, advises leadership, assesses risks, supports operational planning, and maintains readiness data.
  • Leads logistics planning and advises command on SOF maintenance operations.
  • Manages maintenance programs for ground and maritime SOF assets.
  • Develops maintenance policies and best practices aligned to SOF missions.
  • Coordinates partner logistics integration and sustainment support across commands and agencies.
  • Tracks readiness data, analyzes trends, and recommends risk mitigation actions.
  • Supports strategic planning, operational plan analysis, and senior-level briefing development.
  • Manages lifecycle replacement processes and readiness reporting for SOF equipment.
