About The Position

The Mayerson JCC connects people so that they can live happier and fuller lives, creating a more vibrant Jewish community. The JCC helps to foster social connections between its members and guests alike, bringing people together through a wide variety of programs and events. With an expansive fitness center, highly regarded early childhood school and senior center, arts and cultural events offered throughout the year, and classes for every age, the JCC connects, enriches, and inspires over 27,000 visitors per month. The JCC welcomes and engages everyone, regardless of race, religion, or ability. The J Play Attendant provides drop-in childcare for parents who use the Mayerson JCC's fitness facilities. The J Play Attendant provides childcare to infants through pre-teen years. The J Play Attendant ensures the safety of all children.

Requirements

• 16 years of age or older.
• Available to work part-time, evenings and weekends (15-20 hrs/week)
• Enjoys working and interacting with children.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Outgoing personality.

Responsibilities

• Ensure children are cared for in a safe environment.
• Be attentive to needs of and engaged with each child.
• Provide safe and age-appropriate playtime for children.
• Maintain clean, neat and presentable J Play room.
• Record drop off and pick up for each child.
• Welcome parents and children with a smile and address by name when possible.
