About The Position

The IVA Technician I is responsible for basic pneumatic and electric actuator valve assembly, including setting stops, limit switches, positioner setup, solenoid tubing, and testing. This role involves learning valve assembly and repair according to company standards, with close supervision required. The technician will also gain introductory learning of various shop equipment and may be required to travel and interact professionally with customers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and at least 2 years’ industry experience
  • Some prior automated valve assembly experience
  • Meets all Technician Helper qualifications and requirements outlined in job description
  • Successful completion of Automated Valve Assembly Level I Written and Performance Test
  • Successful completion of required training outlined in the technician certification program
  • Successful completion of all applicable Quality Standardization Procedures
  • Demonstrated proficiency of lapping, testing, applicable codes and standards
  • Demonstrated mechanical skills, basic mathematical skills, and ability to use measurement equipment
  • Familiar with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and able to recognize a contaminated valve
  • Demonstrated proficiency of automated valve assembly testing, applicable codes, and standards
  • Demonstrated mechanical skills, basic mathematical skills, and ability to use measurement equipment
  • Basic understanding of the importance of air supply pressure
  • Basic understanding of input signals (3-15# and 4-20 mA)
  • Basic oral & written communication skills
  • Demonstrate “can do” attitude and excellent customer service skills
  • Recognition of missing parts
  • Ability to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance to company driving guidelines
  • Must clear background check and drug/alcohol screening
