Symbria Rx is currently seeking a Pharmacy Technician to add to our growing IV-Production team in Woodridge, IL. Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Pharmacy Technician license and Certification (CPhT) required.

  • IV experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare IV solutions, including calculation and compounding of IV’s according to physician’s prescription with 100% accuracy.
  • Process IV orders through the pharmacy software system.
  • Set up new IV compounds in the pharmacy software system utilizing the IV price code table.
  • Create and maintain resident IV folder in the paperless software system.
  • Follow aseptic technique while compounding in IV hood.
  • Track usage of IV pumps sent to communities and arrange for retrieval.
  • Properly dispose of expired/returned IV solutions.
  • Meet daily deadlines of scheduled medication deliveries.
  • Assist and maintain accurate IV inventory.
  • Submit daily insurance claims and adjudicate any IV rejections.
  • Maintain daily, weekly and monthly cleaning responsibilities that follow the standard 797 codes for IV Room maintenance.
  • Must complete IV Room and temperature logs with 100% accuracy.
  • Must have the ability to manage workflow independently.
