Responsible for assisting the oncology pharmacist with the daily operations of the chemotherapy infusion pharmacy. Preparation of both hazardous and non-hazardous sterile IV products for inpatient and outpatient departments which utilize the services of the cancer center pharmacy. Strict attention to detail in the use of biological safety cabinets, closed system transfer devices, negative pressure rooms, and other safety mechanisms which promote the safe production of intravenously prepared products. The use of supplemental technology aids such chemotherapy robotic compounders, IV workflow management systems, bar code scanners, and gravimetrics. Stocking and preparing for delivery of medications stored and prepared in the area. Restocking automated dispensing cabinets. Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator. Employee is subject to call back and overtime as required by the hospital.
