Click here to learn more about FBM Our team in Cape Canaveral, FL has an immediate opportunity for a level 2 Items Analyst/Inventory Manager to join our mission supporting the FBM Program. This position will require daily communication with Subcontracts, Design Engineering, and Project Management to work through supply chain challenges and will also provide opportunities for you to develop creative solutions to complex issues.

Requirements

  • Work experience or classroom knowledge of Inventory Management, Logistics and Supply Chain principles
  • Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office products
  • Must be a United States citizen and be able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance at the Secret level

Nice To Haves

  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline (such as Business Management, Logistics, or Supply Chain)
  • Strong communication (both verbal and written)
  • Work or classroom experience with Enterprise Resource Planning tools and/or Supply Management Systems
  • Work or classroom experience with Inventory Management, Supply Chain Management, Shelf Life Management, Property, and FAR/DFARS Compliance
  • The candidate must be a self-starter with a positive attitude who is able to take ownership of projects with limited supervision

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for Support Equipment modernization projects and their associated Logistics products
  • Interact with internal and external senior personnel on matters requiring coordination between organizations
  • Coordinate status reports and metrics relating to supplier performance and obsolescence mitigation
  • Be responsible for assuring inventory sufficiency with respect to mission requirements throughout the life cycle of supported systems
  • Manage and control the asset position of customer inventories, especially under the conditions of performance-based logistics (PBL) and total system performance responsibility (TSPR) contracts
  • Coordinate movement of operating inventory to include suppliers, repair facilities, 3PLs and customer locations, including priority interpretation, inventory allocation and asset redistribution as necessary among sources of supply and military operating locations
  • Respond to military service inquiries
  • Support requests for proposals and provisioning determinations; understand and use various inventory optimization models; forecast and manage budget requirements; interface with company and DoD information management systems; ensure fidelity of asset identification; resolve technical and support problems for assigned classes of items by actively interfacing engineering and suppliers
