About The Position

The International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans has a paid, onsite IT Web Development Internship opportunity available for Fall 2026 (limited term, temporary/seasonal). This internship is for current college students majoring in IT, preferably with Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing. The internship may start before the fall semester and could potentially extend into Spring of 2027. The IT Web Development Intern will work onsite in Brookfield, WI, assisting with computer/network troubleshooting and addressing Level 1 Help Desk tickets under the guidance of the Help Desk and User Support Staff.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Web Development, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated interest in user experience design, accessibility, and web development.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and modern web development practices.
  • Strong interest in user experience (UX) and accessibility principles.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Analytical mindset with a willingness to evaluate tools, technologies, and processes (including emerging technologies such as AI where applicable).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with web content updates, site structure improvements, or UX optimization is preferred.
  • The International Foundation will always consider candidates with an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of web pages and components.
  • Update and manage website content using content management systems (CMS).
  • Support efforts to improve website usability, accessibility (e.g., WCAG standards), and overall user experience.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement web updates and enhancements.
  • Perform quality assurance testing across browsers and devices to ensure consistent functionality.
  • Assist in analyzing website performance and recommend improvements.
  • Participate in IT and cross-functional meetings related to web and digital initiatives.
  • Create and maintain documentation for website updates and development processes.
  • Support digital projects, including UX/UI improvements and content restructuring initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by IT leadership.
