About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking an IT Tier II Technician. In this role, you will be part of an IT team responsible for the successful overall analysis, development, enhancement, testing, implementation, installation, monitoring, operation, support and maintenance of our Kalahari applications/systems, analytical & guest-facing platforms/environments, end user computers, devices, audio and visual equipment. Additionally, you would develop and maintain a general understanding of business operations, combined with prior IT experience and knowledge, to triage and resolve technical issues and problems. You would be a part of a team to install, configure, and test new versions, patches, and upgrades, partnering with the necessary infrastructure and IT Security enterprise teams. You would participate in a team on-call rotation, be available to work some off-hours and weekends, and have a flexible on-site schedule. This position may require travel to other resort locations on occasion. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or Management Information Systems from a four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong technical IT background with experience supporting hospitality, restaurant, gaming, retail, or entertainment technologies, including POS systems, property management systems, kiosks, tablets, payments, and other business-critical applications.
  • Experience collaborating with business teams to gather requirements, support solution design and implementation, and maintain application environments across Windows, Linux, databases, integrations, and reporting platforms.
  • Knowledge of IT operations and support best practices, including incident, problems, and change management, vendor coordination, system documentation, security compliance, and production support.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills with a customer-service mindset.
  • Ability to support guests and operational teams.
  • Collaborative approach to working across departments and assisting teammates as needed.
