About The Position

Peco Foods is hiring an IT Technician for their 2nd shift. As a fourth-generation, family-owned company, Peco puts its people first and is dedicated to setting the industry standard while doing the right things for its people, animals, and environment. This role involves installing and troubleshooting computer hardware and software, as well as network printers, and interacting with hardware support vendors. The technician will travel to Peco facilities within their scope of responsibility and potentially outside of it. The role requires adherence to Peco values and reporting of suspicious situations.

Requirements

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Able to multi-task and prioritize
Experience in a fast-paced environment
Good working knowledge of Microsoft platforms to include: Office 2016 (all levels, Home & Business, Professional) to current version; Windows Desktop Operating Systems
Good understanding of network concepts and terms
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision

Responsibilities

Install and/or replace new personal computers
Set up Peco, Microsoft Office, and other applications
Install and/or replace printers
Setup, configured, and troubleshoot network printers
Connect network printers to personal computers
Troubleshoot and correct personal computer problems reported by Team Members
Communicate computer equipment changes to the Infrastructure Team
Replace computer parts to include: disk drives, DVD/CD drives, power supplies, monitors, maintenance kits for printers, phone sets
Interact with hardware support vendors to facilitate repair of computers still under factory warranty
Travel to Peco facilities within their scope of responsibility, and at times may have to travel to facilities outside of their scope

Identify and report any suspicious situations to immediate supervisor or plant management official
