About The Position

The IT Technician role supports the "help desk" function and provides support for Soboba Casino Resort (SCR) systems. Responsibilities include answering calls from end users and resolving problems involving data processing systems and hardware or software. The technician maintains a daily log of incoming "help desk" calls and works with business area management to evaluate and implement applications for workstations. The technician also installs, tests, and configures new off-the-shelf applications and provides technical support for end-users.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent, required.
  • Understanding of computer hardware and office applications, required
  • Must possess excellent customer support skills.
  • Must be able to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the United States of America.
  • Working in Widows Operating Systems, MAC experience is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Two or Four-Year Degree in computer related field, preferred.
  • Any combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • POSSESS AND MAINTAIN A CALIFORNIA DRIVER’S LICENSE AND A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD (LESS THAN 3 POINTS), PREFERRED.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license.
  • Required to submit to and obtain negative results on all drug and/or alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to work order requests and projects that are assigned.
  • Enable/disable users and move objects in Active Directory.
  • Workstation hardware/software installation and maintenance.
  • Assist with inventory moves and setup.
  • Effectively communicate through email.
  • Preventative maintenance plans and execution.
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Escalate incidents with accurate documentation to the IT lead technician, administrator, or vendor, when required.
  • Transport and setup IT equipment to multiple SCR operating locations.
  • Perform daily system checks and update administrators on possible issues.
  • Maintain all SCR utilized systems to ensure their daily functionality.
  • Repair or replace hardware, and network cabling when required.
  • Install approved software for SCR staff purposes, and troubleshoot when necessary.
  • Daily reporting to IT Management, on current workflow, location conditions, and issues needing immediate interaction.
  • Troubleshoot printers and phones.
  • Ensure a timely response and a high degree of customer satisfaction to all case reports.
  • Prioritize both time and projects, working independently and as a team member.
  • Listen, comprehend, and communicate quickly.
  • Must be physically present to work a regular, reliable, and predictable work schedule in accordance with business demands Maintain a consistent and regular attendance record.
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities, tasks, or duties as requested.
