About The Position

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support, with a strong background in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues or combination of post-secondary education and experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking, security protocols, and Zero Trust architecture.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with users at all levels of technical proficiency.
  • Strong documentation skills and experience in creating and maintaining IT knowledge bases.
  • Training and mentoring Associate staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Availability to participate in after-hours support on a rotating basis, is needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, prioritize, resolve, or escalate technical support issues to ensure timely and accurate solutions.
  • Provide advanced support for end-user requests, including user account creation, printer and peripheral support, applications, networking, backups, and security.
  • Oversee the implementation of Zero Trust principles, ensuring adherence to company security standards.
  • Lead and support the completion of ongoing projects by offering training, documentation, and software installation.
  • Ensure consistent end-user use and satisfaction with project deliverables or applications.
  • Provide mentorship and training to Associate technicians to maintain a high standard of service within the department.
  • Contribute to building and maintaining a knowledge base of documentation for IT processes and solutions.
  • Participate in occasional or ongoing after-hours support shifts as required to maintain service continuity, including but not limited to emergency events or seasonal volume activities.
  • Participation and development in an annual personalized development plan to support ongoing development and growth within the IT Technician role at Kawartha Dairy.
