About The Position

Third-shift position providing on-site technical support for factory assembly and manufacturing operations. Support includes PCs, laptops, phones, enterprise systems, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals used in manufacturing and office settings. The shift is Monday through Thursday from 9:00pm to 7:30am.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of IT experience supporting desktop PCs in a distributed enterprise environment.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems (Windows 11) and Windows Server (2016/2019/2022).
  • Experience with Microsoft enterprise technologies, such as Active Directory, Microsoft Configuration Manager, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and SQL Server.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across endpoint systems, including Dell workstations and laptops.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, 802.1X, and Bluetooth.
  • Demonstrated drive for results and ability to innovate using available technologies.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across shifts.
  • Ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision in a high-uptime manufacturing environment, especially during second shift when on-site staffing is reduced.

  • Experience developing and using scripts in PowerShell.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for hardware and software issues affecting desktop PCs, laptops, enterprise systems, and related endpoint equipment in manufacturing and office environments.
  • Partner with local and corporate IT teams on endpoint and desktop projects.
  • Support factory systems that require IT involvement by coordinating with factory support groups and vendors to implement solutions that meet PACCAR security standards.
  • Maintain accurate incident tickets, service requests, and support documentation to ensure timely communication and resolution.
  • Identify and escalate potential cybersecurity threats in accordance with PACCAR security standards.
  • Perform root-cause analysis for recurring or complex hardware and software issues.
  • Coordinate with third-party software providers and corporate IT to fulfill endpoint software and hardware requirements.
  • Create, review, and publish support procedures for installing, remediating, and supporting desktop systems.
  • Participate in reviews of IT standards, procedures, and documentation.
  • Design, test, and implement desktop infrastructure changes in accordance with corporate change-management practices.
  • Serve as on-site IT support during second shift and coordinate with first-shift teams to ensure continuity of support and smooth handoff of open issues.
