About The Position

An IT Technical Architect II is responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of the organization’s technical solutions and will serve as the technical expert on solution design, development, and implementation requirements to address business needs. The IT Technical Architect II works closely with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and IT development and operations teams to develop, maintain, and enhance our enterprise architecture. Critical for success is a deep understanding of enterprise-level software development, infrastructure, and security, as well as experience with modern technologies, public cloud platforms and industry best practices. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and strong communication and interpersonal skills are key. Must be able to work in a team environment.

Requirements

Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; and 4-6 years of experience as an IT Technical Architect or similar role, or an equivalent combination
Experience with enterprise-level infrastructure design, security, and performance best practices
Experience with project management and life cycle management methodologies
Certified Cloud Architect preferred (Azure, AWS, GCP)
Strong design and architectural experience with hybrid cloud deployments
Advanced experience with public and private cloud tech stacks (virtualization, systems, storage)
Design expertise with isolated, privatized cloud solutions, gov-cloud experience a plus
Multi-Cloud architectural experience (Hybrid, Mesh, Data Portability, Service Portability, Resilience)
Cloud networking, software defined networks, and SD-WAN design/implementation experience
Identity and access management leader in public cloud space (MG, RBAC, Control Tower…)
Expert level scripting and automation abilities (PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef…)
Strong documentation and project management skills (design, execute, maintain)

Nice To Haves

Experience with IT service management methodologies, such as ITIL
Experience with cloud technologies, containerization, and microservices architecture
Experience working with Agile methodologies
