About The Position

The Cedar Rapids IT Lead is primarily an onsite IT relationship manager, coordinator, and operational leader who owns IT engagement for the plant, drives work across IT teams, triages and prioritizes requests, and provides hands-on support when necessary.

  • Ability to improve visibility and accountability for outstanding work
  • Experience coordinating onboarding events, hardware deployments, workstation setups, moves, MES-related activities, infrastructure work, and production-support needs
  • Ability to own follow-up and communication until work is completed
  • Ability to manage cross-functional dependencies and scheduling
  • Willingness to deploy equipment, assist with workstation setup, coordinate troubleshooting, and help wherever needed during peak periods
  • "Roll up sleeves" mentality

Responsibilities

  • Own the IT relationship with Cedar Rapids
  • Attend and participate in plant leadership and planning discussions.
  • Understand upcoming business activities before they become emergencies.
  • Serve as the primary IT contact for Cedar Rapids leadership.
  • Act as an extension of the plant leadership team, not just a technician.
  • Coordinate and drive work across IT
  • Manage intake and prioritization of requests.
  • Pull the right IT resources in at the right time.
  • Coordinate infrastructure, digital manufacturing, desktop support, security, and project activities.
  • Keep projects moving and remove roadblocks.
  • Act as the gatekeeper and triage lead
  • Shield the current desktop employee and technical resources from constant interruptions.
  • Organize work, triage tickets, and ensure priorities are aligned.
  • Improve visibility and accountability for outstanding work.
