About The Position

Overview: As an IT Systems Support, you will be responsible for providing technical support with a focus on Microsoft security and configuration. Your role will involve diagnosing and resolving technical issues, ensuring system security, and maintaining IT infrastructure. You should have a critical thinking mindset and be adept at problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in an IT support role.
  • Associate's degree in an IT-related field or relevant IT certifications preferred.
  • Proficiency in Windows 10/11 operating system and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Solid understanding of PC hardware, network connectivity, and computer network cabling.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to end-users with varying technical backgrounds.
  • Capable of writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural documentation.
  • A valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft security and configuration. Can we change this to something like “an interest in a Microsoft Security career path”

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktop systems, including hardware, software, VOIP phone systems, printers, multi-function printers, scanners, and mobile devices.
  • Manage and configure Microsoft security settings and applications to ensure a secure IT environment. This will require certifications and about a year with the company before they could do this
  • Investigate and resolve system issues using product knowledge, system tools, and established methods and procedures. Document solutions and maintain helpdesk ticket information and transactions.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to address high-level hardware and software issues and inventories.
  • Offer remote assistance and manage support tickets efficiently.
  • Assist with desktop setups, peripheral installations, building moves, and other IT-related projects.
  • Engage in team projects and contribute to successful project outcomes.
  • Proactively complete assigned tasks ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
