About The Position

The IT Sysems Operations Specialist is responsible for providing first-line technical assistance to end users across a variety of IT issues in a manufacturing environment. This individual will identify, research, and resolve technical problems while responding to support requests via phone, email, and in-person interactions. The role requires both technical expertise and strong communication skills to understand user needs, provide timely resolutions, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. In addition to resolving day-to-day IT issues, this position provides on-site support in a fast-paced factory setting and contributes to company-wide IT initiatives.

Requirements

Proven expertise in Linux/Unix and Windows server environments.
Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure) and virtualized environments.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell to streamline operational workflows.
Experience with tools like Datadog, Nagios, or Splunk to ensure high system availability.
Knowledge of tools like Terraform or Ansible for managing infrastructure.
Understanding of backup/disaster recovery procedures and security compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001).
Ability to troubleshoot complex, high-level issues under pressure.
Ability to translate complex technical jargon for non-technical stakeholders.
Experience working in fast-paced, high-expectation environments.
Familiarity with methodologies such as ITIL, Scrum, or Kanban.
A proactive team player with a willingness to learn.
