Performs professional and administrative Information Technology tasks related to the selection, deployment, maintenance, support and enhancement of IT solutions utilized in Public Safety and Detention Management for the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office. Works in close liaison with the Forsyth County Management Information Systems (MIS) Department. An employee in this class is responsible for the overall management and effectiveness of IT solutions utilized by the Sheriff's Office. Work includes appropriate interaction with a variety of outside vendors, the county MIS department, judicial agencies and sheriff's office staff. Collaborates with the City of WS Police Department to achieve and maintain efficient sharing of data. The employee also supervises all IT support staff within the entire sheriff's office.
