About The Position

The Information Technology Systems Engineer job family will be responsible for designing, testing, implementing, and troubleshooting IT systems solutions for the organization. The role involves working to develop and deploy complex systems, managing the implementation process, and ensuring that all systems are running smoothly. The Information Technology Systems Engineer will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving escalated technical issues. CoxHealth is a leading healthcare system serving 25 counties across southwest Missouri and northern Arkansas. The organization includes six hospitals, 5 ERs, and over 80 clinics. Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in IT systems engineering, with a focus on implementation engineering OR Associate’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of at least one of the following: networking, databases, operating systems, and/or software applications.
  • Successfully meet project deadlines, manage tasks, and works well under pressure.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • At least 5 years of experience in IT systems engineering, with a focus on implementation engineering.
  • Experience in leading projects and managing teams is a plus OR Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Understanding of various technical architectures and/or operating systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementation and successfully meets project timelines/deliverables.
  • Frequently interacts with functional peer group participants.
  • Completes role independently and within defined policies and procedures.
  • At least 8 years of experience in IT systems engineering, with a focus on implementation engineering.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale IT implementation projects and managing teams OR Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in IT systems engineering, with a focus on implementation engineering.
  • Proven track record of engineering, Designing, Leading complex innovative IT projects, Managing large teams and multiple projects OR Master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Industry expertise and broad company knowledge.
  • Successful track record in information systems implementation.
  • Leading contributor individually and as a team member.

Nice To Haves

  • ITIL Certification.
  • Project Management Professional Certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, testing, implementing, and troubleshooting IT systems solutions for the organization.
  • Developing and deploying complex systems.
  • Managing the implementation process.
  • Ensuring that all systems are running smoothly.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving escalated technical issues.
  • Assisting with document creation and handoff to production support teams.
  • Assists with establishing effective project task deadlines.
  • Participates in the review and management of existing knowledge-based articles.
  • Identifies and creates standard operating procedures and knowledge-based articles.
  • Participates in strategic thinking and planning with a strong business acumen.
  • Manages job duties that are varied and complex; utilizes independent judgement.
  • Participates in the management of vendor performance.
  • Identifies project risks and issues during planning and execution; participates in relevant mitigation strategies.
  • Experience managing high level client relationships and escalations.
  • Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Regularly interacts across functional areas and with senior managers and executives to ensure objectives are met.
  • Mentors peers and fosters development among junior team members.
