About The Position

The Systems Analyst on the Financial Systems team supports the symplr Time and Attendance, symplr Staffing and Scheduling, and Outcomes Analytics applications. This role focuses on developing SQL queries, maintaining system configurations and creating custom reports to support HR and Payroll operations. The position regularly handles sensitive and confidential compensation and employee data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IS&T or related field
  • Two or more years experience with computer applications (programming or analysis) in a PC or mainframe environment required.
  • 4 years equivalent experience can substitute for a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Strong SQL skills (writing complex queries, joins, stored procedures, performance tuning)
  • Experience with relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server or similar)
  • Ability to build custom reports using tools like, Power BI, or Crystal Reports
  • Experience querying large operational datasets (payroll, scheduling, timekeeping, etc.)
  • Familiarity with data modeling and database schema interpretation

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with symplr Time and Attendance or similar workforce management systems
  • Knowledge of healthcare scheduling/payroll workflows (shift differentials, overtime rules, compliance)
  • Experience supporting or customizing vendor systems (not just building from scratch)

Responsibilities

  • Develop custom reports and file extracts for data integrations
  • Develops specifications and documents operational procedures, tests software and coordinates software release procedures.
  • Facilitates effective system design and definition for existing and new system functionality.
  • Demonstrates detailed knowledge of the application data and database.
  • Facilitate complex system upgrades.
  • Assists in the evaluation of system hardware and software products.
  • Develop and tests complex testing scenarios.
  • Develops accurate complex Technical Specifications.
  • Maintains an ability to develop ad hoc reports independently.
  • Completes system configuration within the supported applications.
  • Acts as a mentor to less experienced staff.
  • Must have experience with data collection procedures and data management.
  • Must have ability to translate specifications.
  • Ability to write functional specifications, develop and document operational procedures, test software, and coordinate software release procedures preferred.
