About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Microsoft 365 Administrator to join Walbridge as an IT Systems Analyst II. You will manage and support our Microsoft 365 environment, including managing user accounts, monitoring system performance, ensuring data security, and providing end-user support. You will be involved in planning and executing migrations, updates, and integrations with other systems. This role is critical to maintaining the productivity and efficiency of our organization by ensuring that our Microsoft 365 environment is reliable, secure, and up to date. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Microsoft 365 services, strong critical thinking skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Requirements

  • A deep understanding of complex system performance, security, compliance, and end-user support in the key responsibilities listed.
  • 4+ years of demonstrable work experience in a role managing Microsoft 365 environments, and a strong understanding of its services and applications
  • Experience with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Entra and Copilot
  • Demonstrates excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Possesses strong project management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience managing multiple projects with attention to detail, maintaining confidentiality and an awareness of the big picture
  • Certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert are a plus
  • Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for Microsoft 365 administration
  • Familiarity with security and compliance features in Microsoft 365
  • Knowledge of networking and Active Directory

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support Microsoft 365 services, user accounts, permissions, licenses, groups, and distribution lists.
  • Monitor system performance, service health, and incident management.
  • Coordinate with Microsoft support for issue resolution and service requests.
  • Ensure optimal operation, data backup, and recovery processes.
  • Implement and maintain security policies, compliance measures, and multi-factor authentication.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues, provide end-user support and training.
  • Manage and configure Microsoft 365 groups and distribution lists.
  • Collaborate with IT professionals to implement the best practices.
  • Plan and execute migrations, updates, and integrations.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, stay updated with the latest features.
