About The Position

Unissant, Inc. is seeking an IT System Analyst II to join their team and support their client. This position is remote. The ideal candidate is an experienced technical analyst with a background in IT modernization, automated reporting, data operations, database or data-warehouse support, and technical documentation. The candidate will support initiatives focused on modernizing report production, improving data quality and accessibility, automating workflows, and integrating reporting solutions into existing business processes.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience supporting IT modernization projects, automated reporting initiatives, data operations, and technical implementation efforts.
  • Demonstrated experience in statistical, analytical, or operational reporting environments.
  • Experience supporting databases, data warehouses, data-management platforms, data integration, data transformation, or business-intelligence solutions.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, SQL, Tableau, and front-end web technologies.
  • Experience developing or supporting automated reports, dashboards, data visualizations, data transformations, and reporting interfaces.
  • Strong technical-analysis skills, including requirements elicitation, workflow analysis, process assessment, documentation, and solution evaluation.
  • Experience supporting system testing, issue resolution, release readiness, and implementation of reporting or data solutions.
  • Ability to work with technical and nontechnical stakeholders to translate needs into practical, supportable reporting and data solutions.
  • Strong analytical thinking, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote, client-facing environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to present technical analyses, reporting findings, requirements, project status, and performance data to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Comfortable working with federal stakeholders, technical teams, business users, and Contractor personnel.
  • Ability to write clear, concise, accurate, and confidential technical, process, test, and operational documentation.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with federal data, privacy, security, accessibility, and documentation practices is preferred.
  • MBA or Master's Degree in a relevant field of study is preferred.
  • Certifications in data analytics, database technologies, Tableau, Python, cloud technologies, Agile, business analysis, accessibility, or related IT disciplines are preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in business intelligence, data warehousing, data engineering, cloud platforms, or project delivery are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support report-production modernization, data operations, automation, and data-quality and accessibility initiatives.
  • Perform requirements development, technical analysis, workflow assessment, testing, and documentation for reporting and data-related solutions.
  • Analyze current-state business processes, reporting workflows, technical dependencies, and data flows to identify modernization and automation opportunities.
  • Support the development, enhancement, testing, and maintenance of automated reports, dashboards, data transformations, visualizations, and reporting interfaces.
  • Use Python, Java, SQL, Tableau, and front-end web technologies to support automated reporting, data transformation, database queries, dashboard creation, visualization, and web-interface functionality.
  • Support database, data warehouse, and data-management activities, including data analysis, data-quality validation, reporting support, and system-integration activities.
  • Coordinate with client stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements, communicate technical findings, and integrate approved reporting solutions into existing business processes.
  • Develop and maintain requirements documents, technical documentation, workflow diagrams, test documentation, user guidance, and related project artifacts.
  • Support system, integration, regression, and user-acceptance testing; document results, track issues, and verify that implemented solutions meet approved requirements.
  • Recommend and support improvements that strengthen reporting efficiency, data accuracy, accessibility, usability, and operational reliability.
  • Support analysis and resolution of reporting, data, system-integration, and workflow issues.
  • Respond to COR problem-resolution requests within 24 hours of notification.
  • Remain available to the COR by phone and email from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time, Monday through Friday.
  • Complete required DHS security, privacy, and Rules of Behavior training.
