About The Position

The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the reliable operation, security, and continuous improvement of the organization’s IT systems and end-user computing environment. This role includes endpoint management, identity and access administration, backup and recovery, and enterprise application support, while serving as an escalation point for IT support issues.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on systems administrator who balances operational excellence with proactive system improvements and strong customer service.

Requirements

• Bachelor or Associate Degree in IS, IT or similar field; would consider combination or coursework and experience within a business environment.
• 3+ years of Information System experience within a business environment.
• A CNA (Certified Network Administrator) credential such as CompTIA A+, CCNA, or Microsoft.
• Strong background in installing software and supporting Microsoft Windows/Office 365, Sharepoint, and firewalls.
• Excellent user skillset with Microsoft Office tools.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer focus, self-starter, strong problem-solving skills, calm demeanor, independent learner, highly-motivated, with the ability to stretch abilities as more complex projects arise.
• Need conceptual thinkers who can take a vision and create better processes/solutions. Energetic, honest, and high-ethical standards.
• Enjoys collaboration, being a team player, and leading/participating in continuous improvement processes.

Responsibilities

• Endpoint setup and management (laptops, desktops, printers, Mobile Device Management tools)
• Network backups, permissions, and maintenance (including Veeam)
• Virtual Environment support (VMware)
• User accounts and permissions (e.g. Active Directory)
• Enterprise applications (e.g. Microsoft, Kronos device maintenance)
• Procurement of computers, software, and printers
• Help desk to users for the above items
