About The Position

i3 is seeking an IT System Administrator to join our Corporate IT Team. The best candidates for this position understand the critical part a System Administrator plays in the success of an organization. These candidates enjoy working with technology, supporting information systems, and performing infrastructure integrations. In addition, the best candidates understand the importance of daily monitoring, maintenance, and proper administration of IT systems and networks.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of cloud environments and service models, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals.
  • Ability to train and mentor other members of the team.
  • Knowledge of virtualization fundamentals.
  • Ability to remediate and troubleshoot issues.
  • Knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible, Saltstack, and Terraform.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure and manage time effectively in a changing environment, conceptual solid and logical skills, and vital planning and project abilities.
  • Ability to operate within a collaborative team framework in the workgroup and across IT Services.
  • Must be able to work as an independent, productive, responsible, self-motivated operational and solutions team member, often simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field. (5 additional years of related experience accepted in lieu of degree)
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • CompTIA Security+ CE or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Secret clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with VMware alternatives is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform administration of cloud and on-premises offerings such as; Office 365, Exchange Online, Teams, Active Directory, OneDrive, and Intune.
  • Create and configure virtual and physical machines in a multi-platform environment.
  • Engage with other IT team members to ensure that services meet operations requirements for internal and external clients.
  • Collaborate with team members on future direction and opportunities for new technology.
  • Provide infrastructure expertise to assist with DFARS/CMMC compliance.
  • Assist Staff Solutions Architects with implementation of new solutions.
  • Build relationships with outside vendors and external customers for IT related products and services.
  • Evaluate, implement, and provide support for third-party software systems in a client-server environment.
  • Ensure that system performance/state is monitored; analyze and evaluate identified issues, trends, and problem areas; ensure issues are handled appropriately through effective support processes.
  • Ensure operational support documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Receive and respond to escalated/advanced service requests from customers.
  • Comply with standard company policies and procedures.
  • Work effectively on team projects, communicating properly and providing status.
  • Recognize necessary improvements and makes suggestions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
